The VA Office of Healthcare Transformation (OHT), in collaboration with the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), Direct Access Program (DAP), will host a virtual business opportunity session. This market research event is intended to identify prospective small business partners for potential or strategic partnership opportunities.

Event Goals

By attending this virtual session, participants will:

  • Gain a better understanding of this VA program office’s needs and unique solicitation requirements
  • Help the Program Office to provide input on the contract vehicle’s structure and scope
  • Receive information to begin a networking opportunity to develop teaming or subcontracting partnerships

  • Experience as a prime contractor on large integrated complex efforts (VHA preferred)
  • Inter-agency program implementation
  • Leading organizational change in a large, complex regional or national (preferred) healthcare environment
  • Understanding of all aspects of health plan management including but not limited to operations, regulations, claims processing, covered services, provider contracting, budgeting, forecasting, care modalities, and fee schedules
  • Clear understanding of business architecture and design
  • Ability to quickly recruit high quality personnel through multiple channels, staff on short notice with experienced personnel, extensive reach-back capability, and access to unique subject matter experts
  • Experience and expertise in Program and Project Management and Integration, Improvement and Change Management
  • Experience with large, integrated, complex deployment efforts, such as Electronic Healthcare Modernization (EHRM) and High Reliability Organization (HRO)
